We’re excited to share some big news: Sustainability Lens Game™ has been selected to participate in a Live Startup Teardown at Startup Boston Week 2026.

And for us, this is about much more than appearing at an event. It represents another important step in taking the Sustainability Lens Game from an innovative learning tool to a scalable business capable of bringing sustainability thinking into classrooms, organizations, entrepreneurship programs, and communities around the world.

Why Startup Boston Matters

Startup Boston describes itself as the “front door to the startup ecosystem,” connecting founders, startup operators, investors, and the organizations that support them. Its work goes well beyond a single conference: it aggregates resources and opportunities, connects people across the ecosystem, and helps strengthen entrepreneurship throughout Boston and New England.

Its flagship event, Startup Boston Week 2026, is the largest annual gathering of New England’s startup community. This year marks its 10th anniversary, bringing together thousands of founders, investors, operators, students, and ecosystem builders for more than 100 sessions. Startup Boston reports more than 7,000 connections associated with the week.

That makes being selected especially meaningful to us.

Putting the Sustainability Lens Game to the Test

On Friday, September 18, from 1:30–2:30 PM, Sustainability Lens Game will take the stage for “Positioning, Messaging, or Distribution? A Live Startup Teardown” at 100 High Street, 9th Floor, Boston.

A live teardown is exactly what it sounds like: rather than simply pitching how great our company is, we get to put it in front of experienced practitioners and ask them to challenge us.

Is our positioning clear? Is our message reaching the right customers? How can we improve distribution? What will help us move from early adoption to broader scale?

That kind of candid feedback is enormously valuable.

The Sustainability Lens Game was built around a similar philosophy. Play. Think. Solve. Create Change. Players explore problems from different perspectives, question assumptions, make tradeoffs, and turn ideas into action.

Now we get to apply that same process to our own company.

From Sustainability Education to Sustainable Business

The Sustainability Lens Game began with a simple idea: what if learning to think sustainably could be engaging, collaborative, practical—and even fun?

Since then, the game has moved into classrooms, entrepreneurship programs, workshops, and professional settings. We've developed expanded game products, curriculum, facilitator resources, and The Profitable Good, a 14-week approach to building businesses that create both economic and societal value.

Our next challenge is scale.

Being part of Startup Boston Week puts SLG into conversation with the people who know what it takes to turn promising ideas into sustainable ventures. It gives us an opportunity not only to showcase what we've built, but also to listen, learn, test our assumptions, and strengthen the business behind the impact.

And that is exactly where we want to be.

Come Cheer Us On!

If you're part of the Boston startup, education, sustainability, or business community, we'd love to have you in the room.

Come watch the Sustainability Lens Game get put to the test, hear the feedback, contribute to the conversation, and help us think about what comes next.

Friday, September 18, 2026 | 1:30–2:30 PM100 High Street, 9th Floor | Boston

Because building a more sustainable future requires more than good ideas. It requires communities willing to test them, challenge them, improve them—and help them grow.

We’re in. Come cheer us on.

People + Ideas + Play = A More Sustainable Tomorrow
